My name is Tom Figura, and I’m a multidisciplinary creative gentleman with a wide range of experiences, talents, and skills. Over the past 20 years I have shepherded marketing campaigns, branding initiatives, and events from concept to execution, across media and mediums. I’ve had the pleasure of working with some great brands including Colgate, Nike, Playtex, Gatorade, Discovery Channel, Goddard Riverside Community Center, and Diageo, to name a few. In-house, agency side, or as a freelance designer, I’m your man.
In my professional lifetime, I’ve worn many hats – Assistant Art Director at Harris Publications. Art Director at mkgt. Art Director at OSS. Photo Editor at Big Pictures USA. Creative Director for CrossPathCulture. Background comic book artist for Mark Texiera on Ghost Rider. Freelance designer, everywhere. Chances are, I’ve worked with or in the industry you’re in, if it is tangental to ‘the arts.’ Whatever that means.
I’m well-versed in many of the ‘disciplines’ of design including branding and logos, print design and production, website design, online/digital marketing, and event and experiential design. Check out my work, if you like what you see, contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can get started on your project.
I love working with teams, as member or manager, or I can bring my own – I am a partner in pondSoup, a brand-building creative services agency. I’m also awesome on my own. Let’s call it scaleable to your needs.
In addition to my creative endeavors, I also enjoy aquariums and aquatic gardening (background image), baking (breads and pies), cooking (mexican cusine), landscape architecture and gardening, playing drums (hardcore/heavy metal), stone masonry, illustration, and snowboarding. Though I suppose those could all be called “creative endeavors” as well. I guess it all depends on how you look at life.
